Meet Christer Bergman - CEO

With 30+ years spearheading large-scale infrastructure and energy projects across Sweden, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America, Christer is a strategist who turns complex‐terrain challenges into delivered transmission lines, substations and hydro upgrades. His track record spans everything from Telia’s first South-American roll-outs in the 1990s to today’s 400 kV grid programmes for Svenska kraftnät, always pairing rigorous engineering with sharp commercial insight and multicultural team leadership.

1989

Infrastructure Development Lead – Telia AB

Kick-started Telia’s Latin-American expansion, setting up ISP operations and forging partner networks across Chile, Peru, Ecuador & Brazil while coordinating with Ericsson and Cisco on new data-service offerings.  

1997

Business Manager – Swedtel / CMB Consulting (Brazil)

Brought Sweden’s Swedtel to the Brazilian market, building local partnerships and managing high-level relations with operators, regulators and government entities.  

2006

Project Manager – Angola Telecom Ministry

Led institutional support for Angola’s national telecom build-out, guiding ministerial and regulatory teams (INACOM) and advising the Communications Minister on strategy and execution.  

2010

EPC Project Manager – Gabela-Quileva 275 kV Interconnector, ENE Angola

Managed the full design-to-commission life-cycle of a 250 km transmission line, supervising 240 local staff, complex camp logistics and high-stakes contract negotiations (BNP Paribas / EKN-backed).  

2014

EPC Project Manager – Mozambique National Grid Reinforcement, EDM

Delivered 140 km of 275 kV and 170 km of 110 kV lines through remote terrain, coordinating 300-person field teams, multi-camp logistics and DANIDA-funded stakeholder reporting.  

2016

EPC Project Manager – Ksani-Stepantsminda 500 kV OHTL, GSE Georgia

Directed mountainous high-voltage construction, balancing extreme geography with schedule, budget and international subcontractor oversight for Georgia’s backbone interconnector.  

2018

Project Manager – Lindbacka-Östansjö 400 kV Transmission, Svenska kraftnät

Ran the green-field line from feasibility through build, driving resource planning, cost control and HSE compliance on Sweden’s critical west-coast reinforcement.  

2020

Project Manager – Betåsen 3 × 130 kV Wind-Farm Connection, E.ON Elnät

Produced full tender design and procurement docs, then steered budgeting and scheduling for multi-line grid integration around the Betåsen wind cluster.  

2022

Project Sponsor & Lead – Trängslet Hydro Upgrade, Fortum

Oversaw contract fulfilment, budget and timeline for generator & control-system overhaul at one of Sweden’s largest hydropower plants, alongside multiple SVK/EEM line-and-station upgrades (Messaure, Grönsta).  

2023

Owner’s Representative – GCCIA 400 kV Interconnection (KSA - Kuwait - Iraq)

Fronted 14 EPC packages (US $350 M, 1 600 person workforce) on an 18-month fast-track schedule: design approvals, HSE, contract & claims management, logistics and three new substations.  

2025

Head Project Manager – MittVäst Program, Svenska kraftnät (ongoing)

Leads the full programme portfolio—including new 400 kV builds and renewals—owning budget, reporting and client representation across all sub-projects.
